8-26-21   THOUGHTS

I am “QUALIFIED” to be an inheritance sharing saint in light!  After a year and a half of doing these THOUGHT sessions, I’m sure the one below has been covered.  These types of passage areas must be REVISITED time and again by the Christian.  They give us our essence, our FAITH!  Every word provides a piece of the puzzle.  This is GOD WORKING FOR US FOR OUR ETERNAL BENEFIT!  Feast on it one more time.

Col 1:9-14    For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,  10  so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  11  strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously 12   giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. 13  For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Not by our strength!
Eph 1:19a    and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Eph 3:16  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
Eph 6:10  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Php 4:13   I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
2Cor 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
2Cor 12:9-10    And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.  10  Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Jas 1:2-4    Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3  knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  4  And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
We do have our trials don’t we?   WE ARE NOT ALONE!

My Prayer:
Fill us with yourself O eternal God.  May we joyfully serve in the Kingdom of your dear Son.  
Help us to be fruitful.  Help us to know that your power is on our side, that you work in us and through us.  Work in us O God!   Perfect your power in our weakness.  May the good news of Jesus our redeemer and savior be told to a lost and dying world.
